Pine tar is a viscous brown liquid or semisolid, mainly composed of therapeutic wood phenol, cresol, etc. It doesn`t dissolve in water but is soluble in ethanol, volatile oil, sodium hydroxide solution etc.

Pine tar is very useful for reclaim rubber production.
